Installing Joomla using QuickInstall

The following offers a step-by-step guide for installing Joomla using Quickinstall:

  1. Login to your cPanel
  2. Find the "QuickInstall" icon in the "Software/Services" section, and click on "QuickInstall."
  3. Click on "Joomla" in the left hand column.
  4. Click "Continue"
  5. Fill out the form with the following details:
    1. Select the domain and location (directory) where you want Joomla installed.  Leave the blank after the domain empty if you want Joomla to display when you go directly to the domain name.
    2. Enter an e-mail address where you want the Admin password e-mailed to.  Make sure this is a working e-mail address.
    3. Enter the name of the website.  This is what will appear in the header as the name of your site.
    4. Select whether you want the sample content or not.
  6. Click "Install Now!"

Wait a moment while it is installed, and once complete you will be able start working on your Joomla site.  Check your e-mail for the Joomla username and password, as well as a link to your Joomla Administration Area, and you are ready to go.
