Email Settings for Mail Client

Email settings for any Email Client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Android, Mail of iOS, etc):

Be sure to replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.


Non SSL

  • Your/Display name: anything you want
  • Email address: enter the full address (name@yourdomain.com)
  • Type of connection: POP3 or IMAP (we recommend IMAP - why?)
  • Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Username/Account name: must be the full email address (name@yourdomain.com).
    **Sometimes this setting won't work until you replace the @ with a + in the username.
  • Password: the email password.
    ** Outgoing mail server requires authentication.
  • Incoming mail port: 110 for POP3, 143 for IMAP
  • Outgoing mail port: 587



Secure SSL/TLS (recommended)

  • Your/Display name: anything you want
  • Email address: enter the full address (name@yourdomain.com)
  • Type of connection: POP3 or IMAP (we recommend IMAP - why?)
  • Incoming mail server: server_hostname.tld {replace server_hostname.tld with your server's FQDN hostname}
  • Outgoing mail server: server_hostname.tld {replace server_hostname.tld with your server's FQDN hostname}
  • Username/Account name: must be the full email address (name@yourdomain.com).
    **Sometimes this setting won't work until you replace the @ with a + in the username.
  • Password: the email password. 
    ** Outgoing mail server requires authentication.
  • Incoming mail port: 993 for POP3, 995 for IMAP
  • Outgoing mail port: 465
