Whois Data Reminders

Darrel Technologies sends an e-mail to the Registrant of a domain name (under the extensions listed below) 6 months from the domain name registration date, and every subsequent year on the same day while the domain name Registration is in effect, reminding the Registrant to maintain updated Whois Contact Details. This e-mail is also sent to the Registrant of a domain name transferred into Darrel Technologies from another Registrar:

  • .ASIA

  • .BIZ

  • .COM

  • .INFO

  • .JOBS

  • .MOBI

  • .NAME

  • .NET

  • .ORG

  • .PRO

  • .SHABAKA

  • .TEL

  • .US

  • .XXX

  • Donuts Domains

Examples:

  • If a domain name was registered with Darrel Technologies on 1-Jan-2003 for 3 years, Darrel Technologies will send the Registrant of this domain name a Whois Data Accuracy Reminder e-mail on the 1-July-2003, 1-July-2004 and 1-July-2005.

  • If a domain name was registered with another Registrar on 1-Jan-2005 for 2 years and was then transferred to Darrel Technologies on 15-Apr-2005, Darrel Technologies will send the Registrant of this domain name a Whois Data Accuracy Reminder e-mail on the 1-July-2005, 1-July-2006 and 1-July-2007.

Domain Name Contact [Whois] Data needs to be kept up-to-date, to enable third parties with specific inquiries or concerns, to use the Contact records, to accurately determine who should act upon specific issues, related to a domain name record.

Whois Data Accuracy Reminder E-mail Format

The e-mail consists of the following fields:

  • Domain Name

  • Registrar Name

  • Domain Name Contact Data (Registrant, Administrative, Technical and Billing)

  • Creation and Expiry Date

  • Name Servers

In the event the Contact Data is inaccurate, you need to update the same to reflect the correct Contact Data.
