Field Sales & Onboarding Executive

Kumasi, Ghana Full-time, field-based Base + uncapped commission + allowances 2 positions

About the role

Oja is how African small businesses sell, get paid, and grow — OjaSuite runs their business, and Oja.Market helps them reach buyers. We're hiring two Field Sales & Onboarding Executives to bring merchants onto the platform, face to face, across Kumasi's markets, shops, and business clusters. You'll be the person who signs a trader up, gets their shop live, and shows them their first sale — the engine of our growth on the ground.

What you'll do

  • Prospect and visit SMEs daily in your assigned territory — markets, high streets, business hubs
  • Pitch and demo Oja.Market and OjaSuite, and sign merchants up on the spot
  • Onboard them properly: set up their shop, list their first products, connect their payout
  • Follow up until they've listed and made their first sale — not just signed a form
  • Support new merchants through their first weeks and gather their feedback for the team
  • Hit weekly and monthly activation targets, and log every visit and sign-up in the tracker
  • Represent the brand well (branded kit and materials provided)

What you need

  • Energy, resilience, and real people skills — field sales is a hustle
  • Familiarity with Kumasi's trading communities and the local languages your merchants speak (Twi, etc.)
  • A smartphone and comfort using apps; basic numeracy
  • Honesty and reliability — you're the face of Oja to every merchant you meet
  • SSCE/diploma minimum; 1+ year of sales or field experience is a plus, but we'll back a hungry, personable candidate (including recent graduates / national service personnel) who can sell
  • Willing and able to be in the field every day

What we offer

  • Base — GHS 800 – 1,200/month
  • Transport/data allowance — ~GHS 500/month
  • Commission — on every activated merchant (merchant lists and makes a first sale), tiered higher above target
  • Branded kit, a seat on an early team, and room to grow as we scale across Ghana and into Nigeria
