Transferring a domain to us

  • ✔Unlock the domain at your current registrar and turn off privacy protection if it hides your email address.
  • ✔Get the transfer authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar. You'll enter it at checkout.
  • ✔The domain must be at least 60 days old and not transferred in the last 60 days.
  • ✔Transfers include a one-year renewal, added to your current expiry date.

  • All prices include NHIL 2.5%, GETFund 2.5% and VAT 15%. Payment processing fees may apply depending on your payment method.
  • Prices follow exchange rates, so they can change. We announce price changes through the client area and by email.
  • Domains renew at the renewal price shown above. We send reminders before your domain expires.
Requirements for .gh domains
  1. .gh domains are registered under these second-level domains:
    • .com.gh for businesses, e.g. your-company.com.gh
    • .org.gh for organisations, e.g. your-organisation.org.gh
    • .edu.gh for schools, e.g. your-school.edu.gh
  2. The company must be registered in Ghana. We'll need its certificate of incorporation to complete the registration.
  3. For a school or other academic institution, we'll also need an authorisation letter from the school.
  4. The domain administrator must be in Ghana and work for a company registered in Ghana.
  5. The name must be longer than three characters (e.g. kuku.com.gh). .edu.gh domains for schools and academic institutions are an exception (e.g. ug.edu.gh).
  6. The domain must be in use within six months of registration.
  7. DNS servers in Ghana are encouraged but not required.

Availability is checked with GhNIC, the .gh registry. If their lookup service is unavailable, we'll confirm availability with GhNIC after you order.

Registrations and transfers are subject to our Domain Registrant Agreement, including any conditions set by the registry for your extension.
